Aligned operations for visionary businesses

Making the back-end of your business as inspired as your vision. I help you create aligned systems, streamlined operations, and empowered teams so your business can grow with ease and intention.

how an Online business manager elevates your impact

An OBM ("Online Business Manager") is more than a manager - I’m your operations partner, helping you transform ideas into action. I organize your systems, lead your team, and manage projects so your business can scale without chaos. With me in your corner, your back-end works in harmony with your vision, freeing you to focus on the impact you’re here to make.

Operations

I streamline the systems, workflows, and automations that keep your business running smoothly. Imagine knowing your lead magnet didn’t just send correctly, but also flowed seamlessly into a three-week nurture series that showcased your best advice and allowed your value to shine - without you lifting a finger. I make sure every operational piece truly supports your growth so you can focus on creativity, clients, and vision.

TEams

I bridge the gap between your vision and your team’s day-to-day by genuinely caring about the people who make your business what it is. People are a true special interest of mine - how they work, what lights them up, and what helps them feel confident in their role. I support your team with clarity, encouragement, and steady guidance so they feel empowered rather than micromanaged. Together, we create a culture (yes, even in a tiny team) where people feel valued, supported, and excited to show up for their work. And when your people thrive, your business naturally grows right along with them.

Projects

I help turn your big ideas into organized, doable plans that actually get finished. Whether you’re launching a new program, building a website, or navigating a CRM migration, I map out the steps, set realistic timelines, and keep everything moving forward without the chaos. Think of it as having someone who not only gets your vision but also makes sure every piece lands where it needs to - without you having to chase down tasks or juggle it all yourself.

ND Support

I offer specialized support for neurodivergent founders, entrepreneurs, and teams who want structure without rigidity and accountability without shame. Together, we break big projects into manageable steps, prioritize what actually matters, and build gentle systems that work with your brain, not against it. Whether it’s reminders, email support, scheduling, or staying focused, I help you create a rhythm that feels sustainable - so you can move forward confidently, in alignment with your strengths, without pushing yourself into burnout

hi there

I'm Lux -
the aligned obm

Over the years, I’ve worn many hats—from admin and VA, to graphic designer and video editor, to CRM manager—learning what makes businesses thrive behind the scenes. I've since stepped into OBM work to merge this experience with my passion for leadership and coaching, guiding visionary entrepreneurs and teams to grow with clarity and ease. As an iPEC certified Coach myself, I'm especially familiar with the coaching industry. And being neurodivergent, queer, and endlessly curious about creativity and the natural world shapes how I approach each business: with systems that honor both the practical and the inspired - in a sustainable way.

When is the best time to bring an OBM on board?

Partnering with an OBM is a strategic step for founders who want to grow without getting bogged down in operational details. It’s about creating space for your vision while trusting someone to manage the systems, projects, and teams that keep your business running smoothly. Take a moment to reflect on your readiness. Bringing on an OBM is most effective when you can lean into the support and collaborate openly.

  • You are an established business with consistent revenue, making the investment in an OBM financially worthwhile.

  • You have a team (even small) because an OBM’s role is management and strategy, not hands-on implementation like your VA or graphic designer.

  • You’re ready to let go of operational control and trust someone to manage your systems, projects, and processes. No need to white knuckle it anymore, I got you!

  • You communicate clearly and respect the structure, boundaries, and feedback within this partnership and container.

  • You are committed to strategic growth and value having a partner who keeps your business aligned and moving forward.

Project-Based

$325 (5 hours)

I often suggest that we start with a one-off project to experience the partnership before committing long-term. This can include...

  • Setting up a new CRM with pipelines and workflows

  • Strategy and system setup for a small launch

  • Creating automations or integrations for greater ease

  • And more...

monthly retainer

$1500 (20 hr/month)

Monthly retainers can be scaled to your needs, whether that is 10 hours a month or even 30 hours a month. We can chat about what would support you best.

  • Full operational management: systems, workflows, automations, and tech stack support

  • Project management: launches, programs, website builds, CRM migrations, and other strategic initiatives

  • Team management: task delegation, SOP creation, leadership development, and oversight to keep your team aligned

  • And more...

Where in the world is Lux?
At the airport, flying to my next adventure ;)
FUN FACTS:
▪️Full-time slow traveller, meaning I stay in any given place for at least one month, often more. (Don't worry, I handle differing time zones like a pro!)
▪️Neurodivergent - My brain and nervous system are unique. I've found ways to highlight my strengths and be gentle with things that aren't as easy for me. I help you with this, too.
▪️Fave Podcasts- The Soul's Way with Emily Anne Brant, Neuro Revolution (oh hey, that's me!), and Queer Spirit.
▪️My Motto: Life is too damn short not to live your adventure! After experiencing a major loss in '24, I realized I needed to get out there to see the world and show up more boldly. And I've been doing that ever since. ♥

More About Me

I'd love to share a little more about myself and hopefully get to know you soon as well. First, lest I forget, my pronouns are she/they - meaning, if you use "they" sometimes for me, it makes my heart happy.Second, I'm super excited to support your vision! I’ve spent the last decade weaving together program management, operations, coaching, and creative production to help entrepreneurs turn big ideas into beautifully organized realities.I love taking all the moving parts—events, launches, client journeys, content, teams—and turning them into systems that feel smooth, spacious, and fully aligned with how you work.My background in cognitive-behavioral coaching means I don’t just build systems that function; I build systems that fit real people. I understand how people process information, make decisions, and follow through - so the structure we create actually supports your energy, your rhythm, and your genius.Whether I’m streamlining your operations, coordinating your programs, shaping your client experience, or being the calm in your creative chaos, my mission is simple:
to give you the structure and support that lets your brilliance take center stage.
If you’re craving more focus, flow, and freedom in your business - I’d love to help you build it.

The difference between va & obm

As your business grows, you eventually hit that moment where you think:“I need help… but what kind of help?”
A Virtual Assistant? An Online Business Manager? Something in between?
Here’s the simple breakdown - without the jargon or corporate buzzwords.VIRTUAL ASSISTANT (VA): Your Trusted Task Support
A VA keeps your day-to-day running smoothly by handling the work you directly assign.
They’re fantastic when you:
- Have a clear list of tasks
- Know exactly what needs to get done
- Need someone reliable to execute consistently
Typical VA responsibilities include:
admin support, scheduling, customer service, uploading content, social media posting, simple tech tasks, and general operations.
Think of a VA as the person who helps you stay organized and consistent.ONLINE BUSINESS MANAGER (OBM): Your Strategic Partner in Growth
An OBM steps in when you’re no longer just managing tasks - you’re managing a whole business.
Instead of asking “What do you need me to do today?” an OBM asks:
“What are we building, why, and how do we make it efficient and sustainable?”
OBMs help you:
- Turn ideas into action plans
- Prioritize what actually moves the business forward
- Build systems that save you time long-term
- Manage projects, contractors, and workflows
- Ensure your operations run smoothly without your constant oversight
- Maintain momentum when you’re juggling a lot at once
An OBM isn’t just doing the work - they’re helping lead the work.____________________________A Helpful Metaphor: The Clothing StoreThe VA stocks shelves, organizes inventory, cleans displays, runs the register, and helps with customer questions. They’re essential to keeping things running. The OBM handles staffing, tracks inventory trends, manages cash flow, reviews performance, makes sure operations run smoothly, and keeps things aligned with revenue goals. They’re responsible for running the store. Both matter - but the roles are not the same.____________________________HOW TO KNOW IF YOU NEED A VAYou likely need a VA if:
- You’re overwhelmed by repetitive tasks.
- You know exactly what needs to be done, but don’t have the time.
- You’re ready to hand off admin, scheduling, customer service, or posting content.
- You want help implementing tasks you already know how to do.
- You’re still figuring out your offers, messaging, systems, or priorities.
- You can easily delegate with clear instructions.
A VA helps you get things off your plate. They create time and relieve task-based pressure.____________________________HOW TO KNOW IF YOU'RE READY FOR AN OBMYou’re ready for an OBM if:1. You’re the bottleneck.
Projects stall unless you make the plan, give direction, or explain next steps.
2. You have a VA but find yourself managing them constantly.
You’re still deciding priorities, clarifying tasks, reviewing work, or catching errors.
3. You want to scale, but not with chaos.
You need systems, processes, structure, and someone to help you build a scalable foundation.
4. Your business is growing faster than your operations.
More clients = more fires.
More offers = more complexity.
5. You want someone to help you make decisions.
Not just get tasks done - but decide what the tasks should be.
6. You’re ready to hand off leadership, not just workload.
You no longer want to be the visionary and the manager and the operator and the project lead.
7. You need someone who sees your business the way you do.
Someone who can think ahead, anticipate needs, spot gaps, and co-create strategy.
An OBM helps you grow with structure, clarity, and confidence. In the Simplest Terms
If you need help getting things DONEhire a VA.
If you need help deciding WHAT to do, WHEN, and HOWhire an OBM.
If you need someone to LEAD the business with youhire an OBM.

The Monthly support you need

wide shot of Jennilee at the airport, walking away from camera toward a large window

When you bring me on as your OBM, you’re not just hiring support - you’re stepping into an ongoing partnership designed to give your business structure, clarity, and momentum month after month. Most clients work with me long-term because the deeper I understand your world, the more powerful (and seamless) our collaboration becomes. Before your first month even begins, we’ll have a 90-minute strategy session - included at no extra cost - so I can fully understand your business, your priorities, and what success looks like for you. This allows me to hit the ground running on Day 1 with a clear plan and zero guessing. At the start, we’ll meet weekly for alignment to make sure we’re moving in sync and your business is steadily moving forward. As I get to know your systems, goals, and rhythm, these can shift into bi-weekly or monthly strategy meetings if you prefer.____________________________What I Do in About 5 Hours a Week (20 Hours/Month)Working with me means your business has consistent structure, leadership, and operational oversight - without needing a full-time operations hire. Here’s what that support actually looks like:▪️Weekly Direction & FocusEach week, I turn your ideas and goals into a clear, organized plan. I update your project board, streamline priorities, and make sure you (and the team) always know what’s happening next. No more juggling or flying blind.▪️Systems That Keep Things MovingEvery month, I build or refine one to two core systems - like client onboarding, content workflows, email automations, or launch logistics. I don’t write copy myself, but I make sure everything is structured correctly, connected properly, and set up to run smoothly so your team can plug in their work with ease.▪️Project & Team ManagementI keep your projects moving from start to finish. I manage your VA, designer, editor, or contractors, ensure they have what they need, and make sure deadlines are met. You don’t have to micromanage, chase people, or check on progress - I handle that for you.▪️Light Content OrganizationWhile I’m not the one writing your content, I organize your content ecosystem - mapping out calendars, managing podcast/YouTube workflows, coordinating creative contributors, and ensuring every asset is completed and published on time.▪️Launch + Program SupportIf you’re launching a new program or hosting a live experience, I map out the timeline, organize all deliverables, coordinate your team, track performance, and hold the moving parts so you can show up fully as the visionary. In Short...
In about five hours a week, I become the steady operational backbone of your business - the person who:
- keeps everything organized,
- manages your moving parts,
- maintains your systems,
- aligns your team, and
- frees you to lead, create, and grow with clarity.
____________________________VALUES ALIGNMENT
A key to thriving partnerships is making sure that our values align. Below are some of my core values related to work and the types of businesses I am most interested in supporting. Please review these before booking a discovery call.

"The journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step." - Lao Tzu

VALUES AT THE ALIGNED OBMNeuro-affirming & Human-first
We build systems that work with your brain, not against it. Your strengths are prioritized, your needs are accommodated, and nothing about how you operate is treated as “wrong” or something to fix.
Respect for Identity & Lived Experience
You and your team are whole people. We honor different identities, backgrounds, and ways of moving through the world—and build your business in a way that reflects that.
Curiosity Over Judgment
When something doesn’t go to plan, we don’t jump to blame.
We get curious. We assume positive intention, explore what’s actually happening, and treat challenges as opportunities to learn and refine.
Open & Respectful Communication
Clear, honest, and respectful communication is the foundation of our work together.
We honor boundaries, timelines, and the shared container we create. I'm naturally more direct, but with kindness. Direct communication is always encouraged.
I'm also looking forward to hearing about the values that guide your business and how we can align ourselves through this work.
